Centre Manager - Silverdale
Kia Ora my name is Rebecca and I am a proud Mother and Grandmother, which is my motivation to provide quality education for our future generation. I have been an Early Childhood teacher for over 14 years and have been in a Managers role for the last three years.
I am extremely passionate about providing quality education for our Tamariki. My personal philosophy is underpinned by the Reggio philosophy, Janet Lansbury and the RIE philosophy. I believe in leading and teaching from the heart and the importance of authentic, respectful relationships, that is formed from trust and kindness. My aim is to provide a simulating, respectful, loving environment in which the child’s holistic being is nurtured and they are treated as equal human beings who need time, space and the right environment in which they naturally unfold and in which they develop a healthy sense of who they are as individuals and this will then empower them to establish a lifetime love of learning.
Assistant Manager - Silverdale
Kia ora, my name is Tracy. I immigrated to New Zealand in 2006 with my family from England. I have three beautiful children, two girls and one boy along with a granddaughter who together keep me very busy. I have been an early childhood teacher since 1998, completing my Diploma in England in 2003 and my Bachelor of Teaching in New Zealand in 2013.
I believe the early years of a child’s life are important for their life long learning. Building respectful and trusting relationships with children and their families is very important to me as a teacher. When a child feels safe, secure and listened to then they are more open to learn. I believe that our interactions with children should be fun, warm and loving. This will ultimately empower children to become confident and competent lifelong learners.
I look forward to supporting your child on their journey of learning and discovery with us at Learning Tree.
